Well...so much for the New Year's resolution! Two months between posts is not an auspicious start, is it. So now for an update. My hubby & I are visiting (as in staying with) our daughter, son-in-law & the cutest grandson in the world who live in Charlotte, NC. We are from Michigan and both have lived there our whole lives so this is an experiment to see what the winter months are like with sunshine.
We spent a few weeks with our son, daughter-in-law and my 2 youngest darling granddaughters who live in SC. My 6 year old granddaughter got a sewing machine for her birthday (yes from me) and loves it. We have been busy with learning how to sew. In fact we were able to go to a "One Stop Shop Hop" at the college nearby and enjoyed all the fabrics. She certainly has the fabric bug but unlike her Mimmi (me) she wants to use all hers...need to explain "collection/stash" to her.
I have been able to fit in some hand applique and hope to start putting the Barbara Brackman Civil War blocks together that I have made from her weekly posts last year. And got to go to Mary Jo's Fabric Store in Gastonia, NC. If you are ever near there it is a "must" to see and shop in all the fabric. Now if I can figure out how to post pictures and find my camera I will have pics of my quilt in progress soon!
